Our School Uniform

Our school colours are blue and grey.  It is the policy of the Governing Body of our school that all children are encouraged to wear the school uniform.  Not only can this make life much easier for our parents (there are never any arguments as to what the children are going to wear at school each day!), it also means that our children look very smart and are given a great sense of belonging and identity.

Our school uniform comprises:
Raglan sweatshirt  Royal Blue
V neck sweatshirt  Royal Blue
Polo shirt   Royal Blue
Polo shirt   White
T shirts:

  • Red   (Raleigh House)
  • Navy  (Drake House)
  • Yellow  (Howe House)
  • Green (Nelson House)

Sweatshirt cardigan  Royal Blue
Grey/black trousers/skirts/pinafore dresses.
Black shorts for P.E. and Games
Gingham check dresses: red or blue.
Fleeces    Royal Blue.
Baseball hat   Royal Blue.
Fisherman Hats   Royal Blue.

During the colder months it is quite acceptable for girls to wear trousers (jeans and leggings are not allowed) and the children to wear tracksuits for outside P.E. and Games. Trainers are permissible for Games but not for everyday wear.

Sensible swimwear is required for all swimming lessons.  Bikinis and Bermuda shorts are not allowed.

We ask that all items be clearly named.

The wearing of earrings is not permitted during PE/Games lessons because of possible danger. If earrings cannot be removed, the child in question is not allowed to participate in any P.E. activity until such time as the earrings can be removed. Adults are not allowed to assist in the removal of such items of jewellery. We also ask that children always wear sensible and suitable footwear and that they come to school with appropriate hair cuts and styles.
